A rough overview of the application process looks as follows (you find a detailed description of the individual steps below):

The first step is, obviously, your application. Here is a short list of compulsory things that need to be included:

• Cover letter (the e-mail itself)
  
  • Please mention your motivation and relevant previous experiences.
  • Mention the length of your proposed stay.
  • You can ask about your wishes for and/or worries about the proposed stay.
  • Please, within common sense, mention any conditions that should be mentioned (disabilities, illnesses, allergies, psychological conditions, ...).
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Provide a simple CV, with your employment history, education level, relevant skills and spoken languages. If you have ever been arrested, please mention why.
  • Attach any qualifications (diplomas or certificates) you mention or find relevant.
  • Attach written references of employers listed in CV (or mention if none).
• You do not need to provide English-speaking personal references initially, only on request (which is usually not needed).

Please remember that you need to pay us for your expenses  and will be volunteering.

Yes or No

It will take a few days to process your application (but not longer than a week). Do not make any financial commitments until you receive this offer.

Note: We say "yes" to the application you provided. Whatever you forgot to mention or want to change afterwards requires a "yes" again.

Book your flight, fill in contact form and transfer expenses of 1st month

If you are accepted, you have to make your final decision. If you choose yes, you should:

• Book your flight or plan your journey
  • We are not responsible for your getting to Nairobi. But, please, do not forget to check if there are any visa or vaccination requirements.
  • Also, make sure you have an international health insurance (IHI).
• Send the following to us:
  • Confirm that you wish to come
  • An emergency contact
  • Your flight time and number
  • Your international health insurance (IHI) policy number
  • The details of the money transfer

Confirmation and pick up from airport

If everything mentioned above was sent, we shall confirm and pick you up at the airport when you arrive.
